Dr Peter Waterhouse
Dr Waterhouse studied medicine at the University of Queensland, graduating in 1998. His training in anaesthesia and intensive care began in England in 2001, continuing in Queensland upon his return in 2004.
An interest in caring for children led Peter to undertake extra training in neonatal and paediatric intensive care, anaesthesia and retrieval medicine. He worked at the Royal Children's Hospitals in both Brisbane and Melbourne. Paediatric anaesthesia remains a major part of Peter's practice. He is a senior Visiting Medical Officer at the Queensland Children's Hospital.
In private practice, Peter treats children and adults.
Outside the operating theatre, Peter is active in the Australian Society of Anaesthetists, and in the clinical committees of the hospitals in which he practices.
