Dr Nick Gowing

Dr Gowing completed training in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine in 2016, working in Australia and Sweden. During his training he completed fellowships in adult Liver Transplantation and Paediatric Anaesthesia and ICU before taking up a position as Direct of Trauma Critical Care at Sahlgrenska University Hospital. He returned to Australia in 2020 after 10 years abroad.

He has a number of specialist interests including the threatment of severe bleeding and coagulopathy, diagnostic ultrasound and regional anaesthesia. His anaesthetic practice is broad and includes vascular, thoracic, major abdominal and paediatric surgery. Dr Gowing regularly teaches at international trauma courses (DSTC, ATLS) and has both public and private appointments.

He and his wife have 3 children and love spending time together in the outdoors.
