Dr Nathan Peters
Dr Peters is a Brisbane Anaesthetist who completed his medical and anaesthetic specialist training in South East Queensland. He currently provides Anaesthesia services for a broad range of surgical procedures across both public and private sectors. He is passionate about providing high quality specialist anaesthetic care and looks forward to caring for you at the time of your procedure.
Dr Peters graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Pharmacy (2002) and a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (2008). He completed the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) specialist training program and was admitted as a fellow of the college in 2016. During this specialist training he completed his provisional fellowship training in Anaesthesia for vascular surgery and perioperative echocardiography at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. It was during this time he also completed a postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Ultrasound with the University of Melbourne.
Dr Peters is a strong advocate for the advancement of Anaesthesia as a specialist area and is very active in the education of Anaesthetist in training as well as junior doctors. He has presented and contributed locally as well as internationally on the topic of point of care ultrasound and has received recognition for his excellence in training in this area.
