Dr Kaye McManus
Dr Kaye McManus' Anaesthetic training started in 1990 in a Provincial Hospital in Northern Wales-Ysbyty Glan Clwyd. Following graduating from UQ, MB,BS 1987 and completing two years residency at the Royal Brisbane Hospital, Dr McManus wanted and needed an adventure.
She found a year long position in a town that she had never heard of and decided life is too short to play it safe, just working in Queensland. Dr McManus learnt from a very eclectic group of Anaesthetists and found working in an operating theatre enjoyable. She decided to do the first part of the British Anaesthetic Specialty exam. Dr McManus sat and passed this exam in the College of Surgeons, London and was thrilled as she never thought that she would be sitting exams in London.
On return to Australia, Dr MacManus continued her training in Anaesthetics in 5 different Queensland Hospitals.
Dr MacManus has been an Associate of Wesley Anaesthesia and Pain Mgt since 1998. Her daily aim is to deliver safe anaesthesia and help her patients to feel cared for. Also, Dr MacManus very much enjoys working with her colleagues in a pleasant environment.
When not at work, she enjoys hiking, the beach, traveling and hanging out with her Cavoodle Wallace.
